Do you enjoy collecting rocks or fossils? How about lapidary, polishing or flintknapping? Or learning different aspects of collecting like how to identify, micro-mount, or photograph? Well then, the Central Pennsylvania Rock and Mineral Club has something for you!
Chances are that other people in the club share your interests and can share a tip or two. We have members with decades of expertise to share! No amount of “googling” can replace the experiences the club shares at our program meetings, field trips and other various outings!

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUES
• JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP* $ 7.00
( 8 through 17 years of age)
• ADULT MEMBERSHIP $ 15.00
• JOINT MEMBERSHIP $ 25.00
— For two adults
A minor eight (8) through seventeen (17) years of age may join the club as a junior member under the sponsorship of an adult member of the club (either family member or legal guardian).
(Note: There is a reduced membership rate for new memberships 7/1-12/31- Adult Rate $ 8.00, Joint Membership $ 16.00)
Meeting Information
The general meetings of the Central Pennsylvania Rock and Mineral Club are held the second Thursday of each month, with the exception of August and December, at: 7:00 p.m. at:
St. Thomas United Church of Christ, 6490 Linglestown Road (Rt. 39), Harrisburg, PA 17112.
Meetings vary and have included guest speakers, lapidary demonstrations, auctions, and other group activities such as show and tell. There is also a small library for members to check out books which may interest them.
•The August meeting is our family picnic, which usually includes a collecting opportunity, in addition to good eats and great fellowship.
•December features our annual holiday party. Fun, food, and geology secret Santa for all who wish to participate.
•Both events are open to all CPRMC members and their families.
Visitors are invited and always welcome at our monthly meetings!
